• Acting Classes

    The Award Winning Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury is offering ADULT ACTING CLASSES

    • Tuesdays (with one Thursday)
    • 6 CLASSES-October 10, 17, Nov 2 (Thursday), 7, 14 and 21
    • 2 hour sessions
    • Class size limited
    • 6:30 PM-8:30 PM
    • Fee: $185

    Classes are designed for adult students, age 18 and older. Teaching is based on a realistic and naturalistic approach.
    No prior experience is needed. Experienced actors also welcome. Each student works at his or her own skill level and pace. Class size is limited to assure individualized and personalized attention. Classes are filled on a first-come basis. We provide a fun and safe environment where you can take risks and learn about acting or advance your skills.

    (We reserve the right to cancel this class and return application fees based on a minimum number of registrations. Refunds are not offered for missed classes.)

    Classes will be taught by Daniel Sarnelli
    Daniel has been working in the theatrical community for the over twenty years. As an actor he has worked with numerous companies including The MCC Theater, The Long Wharf Theatre, The Shubert Theatre, The Mill Mountain Theatre, The Allenberry Playhouse, The National Theatre of the Performing Arts, Elm Shakespeare Company and many others. In that time, he has enjoyed playing many classical roles including Hamlet, Pericles, Romeo, Polixenes, Lucentio and Oedipus. Beginning in 1999, he played the role of Dr. Jason Posner in the Off-Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play Wit, which starred veteran actresses Kathleen Chalfant and Judith Light. He went on to play Dr. Posner in the National Tour of Wit. His most recent work includes roles on “Law & Order” and “All My Children”.
    As a director, Daniel has worked with the National Theatre of the Performing Arts, Dandelion Productions, Spotlight Tours, The All in One Ensemble and The Naked Theatre of Connecticut (a troupe he helped form in the late 1980’s). He has directed national tours of “The Story of Anne Frank”, “The Outsiders” and “Presidents in Profile”. He has also directed Shakespeare’s As You Like It and has developed many other Shakespeare related projects including “Hamlet Comes Alive” and “Romeo and Juliet Come Alive” (two performance based workshops developed for the curriculum of Southern Connecticut State University).
    Daniel is currently the Head of the Theatre Department at Betsy Ross Arts Magnet School and Performance Instructor at The Seven Angels Theatre. He has taught acting at Performance Arts Programs of Ct. and has worked as a Facilitator of Therapeutic Theatre for Creative Alternatives of New York.
